🏈 Off-Season Clinic Made Specifically for Football Players 🏈

Increasing your speed in the off-season is critical if you want to take your football game to the next level. You must establish a baseline and perform workouts that gradually increase in difficulty as you get closure to the season. There are many football specific skills that need to be developed during the off-season. The following four-phase off-season program will help you increase your speed for football.

During the month of May, Athletes Acceleration and Coach Zay will be offering a new training group specific to FOOTBALL athletes at the Middle School and High School levels.

As football players, they need to improve linear & lateral acceleration, max velocity, backpedaling, cutting, stopping, changing direction, retreating, cross-over, first step quickness, curvilinear running, lateral shuffling… all of these movements are utilized in football and are important to develop over the off-season.

Coach Zay’s football group will utilize the Athletes Acceleration performance facility with drills that will guarantee an improved performance in the athletes SPEED, FIRST STEP QUICKNESS, POWER, GAME SENSE AGILITY, COORDINATION, DECELERATION and football specific CONTACT PREP, with the intention to get and keep EVERYTHING FOOTBALL ready prior to their summer preseason and camps.

Group will meet on 4 Friday nights from 5:30-6:30 PM on the following Friday dates (May 3rd ,10th, 24th, and 31st).

Athletes Acceleration Sports Performance Coach. Before coming to Athletes Acceleration, Coach Zay was the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach of the University of Rhode Island Football team.

Coach Zay is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), has a degree in exercise science, and is our speed & agility expert specializing in developing football athletes.
