In the fast-paced world of football, where split-second decisions can make or break a play, the importance of speed and agility cannot be overstated.
The need for speed, agility, and quickness (“SAQ”) development in a football athlete is clear, but using the proper training methods to implement in order to get the best results is what can be unclear. Understanding the objectives behind each SAQ movement skill is the first step to a well-executed SAQ/conditioning plan that prepares players to accelerate, decelerate, and change direction quickly and effectively to become the best football athlete possible. Isiah ‘Zay’ Batista
Athletes Acceleration Sports Performance Coach. Before coming to Athletes Acceleration, Coach Zay was the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach of the University of Rhode Island Football team.
Coach Zay is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) from the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), has a degree in exercise science, and is our speed & agility expert specializing in developing football athletes.

Going beyond just βworking outβ, the athletes that attend the camp will leave with the skills and knowledge of all the drills and βwhyβ they are being performed. As you know, itβs one thing to get great coaching and instruction during the camp sessions, but we want all the athletes to take the newly learned exercises with them so they will be able to apply them all year round.
This comprehensive 90 minute long training session, the program is designed specifically for football athletes. The session time is spent on movement, which includes, stretching, activation, active warm up, linear and lateral speed development, quickness, plyometrics, and core strengthening. The second part of the workout is dedicated to explosive power and increasing overall speed and conditioning.
Youβll learn new skills with this innovative approach to training. It will change the way you view your training while building on a solid athletic foundation while staying focused on each athleteβs individual goals.
